Salah Sukkarieh

Professor Salah Sukkarieh – Chairman

BE Mechatronics, PhD

Professor Salah Sukkarieh is the Chairman of Potentia Learning and is also a member of the Dymocks Board of Directors. He is the Professor of Robotics and Intelligent Systems at the University of Sydney and has also led several robotics and intelligent systems R&D projects in logistics, commercial aviation, aerospace, education, environment monitoring, agriculture and mining.

Salah was awarded the NSW Science and Engineering Award for Excellence in Engineering and Information and Communications Technologies in 2014, the 2017 CSIRO Eureka Prize for Leadership in Innovation and Science, and the 2019 NSW Australian of the Year nominee. Salah is a Fellow of Australian Academy of Technological Sciences and Engineering (ATSE), and has over 500 academic and industry publications in robotics and intelligent systems.

Steve Cox

Steve Cox – CEO

Masters of Business Administration and Post Graduate in Management

Steve is the CEO at Potentia Learning. He has held senior retail management positions with a number of large retailers over the last 14 years including Eden Gardens and Gardens Center, the Specialty Fashion Group, David Jones, Jeans West and Next in the United Kingdom, and has been the Managing Director of Dymocks since 2010.

Mark Buckland

Mark Buckland – General Manager

B.Sc. (Psychology), Dip. Professional Counselling, MBA, LLB (Hons), LLM

Mark understands the power of education from personal experience, having achieved an ATAR of 99.8 in the HSC despite his low socio-economic background. This allowed him to pursue his dreams of studying law and business, and he has become a passionate advocate for education as the tool to unlock opportunity. 

As a senior executive at Dymocks, Mark has spent the past 10 years managing businesses, leading change management and setting strategy. He now manages Potentia as part of the broader Dymocks business. Mark is also a qualified counsellor, and has provided pastoral care to teenagers in Sydney’s south-west since 2013.

Mohan Dhall

Mohan Dhall – Academic Leader

B Com, Grad Dip Ed, Grad Dip in Workplace Relations, CoGE, MIML, MACE, MATA

Mohan is an experienced and highly regarded secondary and tertiary teacher. He has taught Business Studies, Legal Studies, Economics and Commerce for 26 years, and has published more Australian high school materials than any other author. He is also CEO of the Australian Tutoring Association (ATA), the peak body for tutors nationally. 

Mohan trains pre-service teachers, experienced teachers and educational managers. As Head of Learning at Potentia he will train our staff to the highest global standards and support student growth and development.
